DeSantis isn’t afraid of anyone.
Florida’s wildly popular Republican Governor Ron DeSantis has just caused a firestorm on social media after he announced that policies in his state will not be determined by “the musings of woke corporations.”
According to Politico Fire, DeSantis’ comments came after Walt Disney Co. CEO Bob Chapek submitted to far-left radicals over legislation protecting parental rights in public education.
Liberals are mad at DeSantis because of his newly pushed Parental Rights in Education bill which is falsely being called the “Don’t Say Gay” bill because it prevents children between kindergarten through third grade from being taught topics ranging from “sexual orientation to gender identity.”
DeSantis and other Republicans believe it’s better that parents teach their own kids these topics.
Controversy came after Disney’s CEO was pressured by lunatic liberals into saying that the company “opposed” the bill by DeSantis.
“In the state of Florida, we are not going to allow them to inject transgenderism into kindergarten,” DeSantis declared.
DeSantis later hit Disney and stated, “You have companies like a Disney that are going to say and criticize parents’ rights, they’re going to criticize the fact that we don’t want transgenderism in kindergarten and first-grade classrooms.”
DeSantis then said, “If that’s the hill that they’re going to die on, then how do they possibly explain lining their pockets with their relationship from the Communist Party of China? Because that’s what they do and they make a fortune, and they don’t say a word about the really brutal practices that you see over there at the hands of the CCP.”
“And so in Florida, our policy’s got to be based on the best interest of Florida citizens, not on the musing of woke corporations,” DeSantis finished.
