This one has to hurt
Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez attacked moderate Democrats stating that they are not helping with President Joe Biden’s spending plan. She added that a better name for moderate Democrats would be conservative Democrats.
Ocasio-Cortez started off by saying that progressives are left compromising the spending bill due to Republicans not liking the current state of the spending bill. She stated that Democrats have continuously pushed the number of the spending bill down from “six trillion to three trillion” and Republicans and some moderate Democrats still refuse to vote yes.
She further added that moderate Democrats are “not really coming to the table” to help with the spending bill. She said that Biden is a good example of a moderate Democrat, adding that they do not always get a long but he always “reaches out and he actually tries to understand our perspective.” Ocasio-Cortez continued stating that moderate Democrats need to push the spending bill instead of denying it.
