Trump Gives ICE New Legal Powers

Trump isn’t happy over recent ICE attacks and now he’s taking action.

President Donald Trump is taking swift action to restore law and order after a violent clash during a federal immigration raid in California left ICE agents under attack.

Following a chaotic scene at a marijuana farm in Camarillo, where radical agitators hurled rocks and debris at law enforcement vehicles, Trump issued a bold directive Friday on Truth Social: “ICE now has Total Authorization to arrest violent protesters using whatever means necessary.”

Trump expressed outrage after viewing footage of the incident while returning from a trip to Texas. “These brave officers were ambushed by thugs throwing rocks and bricks at them as they simply did their jobs,” the president stated. “Brand new federal vehicles were damaged, and it’s clear these assaults were meant to send a message—one of lawlessness.”

The president wasted no time issuing clear instructions to Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem and Border Czar Tom Homan. “If federal officers are assaulted with rocks, bricks, or other projectiles, they are to stop and arrest the offenders immediately,” Trump declared. “We will not tolerate violence against law enforcement.”

The confrontation erupted when ICE agents arrived at Glass House Farms to conduct an immigration enforcement operation. Dozens of protesters attempted to block roadways between crop fields and launched projectiles at officers, forcing the use of crowd-control measures, including non-lethal rounds and dispersal agents.

Disturbingly, one individual appeared to fire a weapon at federal agents. The FBI has since offered a $50,000 reward for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the suspected gunman.

Social media videos captured agents fleeing the scene under a hail of rocks, raising national concerns about the growing boldness of anti-ICE demonstrators.

“I never want to see another law enforcement vehicle ambushed like this again,” Trump said. “I’m giving ICE the green light to defend themselves and arrest those who think they’re above the law. Total Authorization—Effective Immediately.

This is not the first time the Trump administration has responded forcefully. After similar chaos in Los Angeles last month, President Trump authorized the deployment of National Guard units and U.S. Marines to secure DHS and ICE operations. That deployment remains in place as a federal appeals court evaluates the legality of the move ahead of an August trial.

Tragically, one migrant worker lost his life during the Camarillo raid after falling 30 feet from a greenhouse roof. Officials confirmed the man was not being pursued by federal agents at the time. Several other workers suffered serious injuries during the operation, which resulted in approximately 200 arrests of suspected illegal immigrants.

Homeland Security officials continue to emphasize that ICE’s mission is to enforce the law—not to spark violence—but noted they will no longer stand by while federal officers are targeted by criminal mobs.
