Democrats apparently aren’t allowed to work with the GOP and it’s shocking to see.

Democrats Turn on John Fetterman—Demand Immediate Resignation Over Trump-Friendly Actions

Fetterman Accused of Siding With Trump and GOP

A prominent Pennsylvania Democrat is calling for Senator John Fetterman to resign, accusing him of siding too closely with Republicans and former President Donald Trump.

Matt Roan, Chairman of the Cumberland County Democratic Party, penned a scathing opinion piece in PennLive, published March 22, slamming Fetterman for abandoning core Democratic principles and cozying up to conservatives.

Controversial Votes Trigger Democratic Backlash

Roan highlighted several instances where Senator Fetterman has reached across the aisle, notably becoming the first Democratic senator to meet President Trump following his election victory. Fetterman’s willingness to collaborate with Republicans has alarmed progressives, particularly regarding his positions supporting Israel, stricter immigration enforcement, and conservative fiscal measures.

  • Supported confirmation of Pam Bondi, criticized for refusing to acknowledge Trump’s 2020 election loss.
  • Backed GOP spending bill, accused of enabling billionaire Elon Musk’s influence over federal agencies.

Roan further accused Fetterman of avoiding town halls in Pennsylvania, noting his planned public appearance alongside Republican Senator Dave McCormick and Dina Powell, a former Trump official, to promote a children’s book.

Speculation Grows About Potential Party Switch

Despite speculation about switching parties following his Mar-a-Lago meeting with Trump, Fetterman insists he remains a Democrat. On “The View,” he argued, “I wouldn’t fit as a Republican due to my pro-choice, strong immigration stance, and LGBTQ rights support.”

Still, Roan insists Fetterman has betrayed Democratic voters.

Pennsylvania Democrats Demand Accountability

Roan’s article concluded with a powerful demand: “As someone who fought hard to elect Fetterman and supported him through difficult personal struggles, his abandonment of our party’s core values makes his resignation necessary.”

Fetterman publicly responded to criticism over Columbia University via social media, strongly supporting Trump’s decision to withdraw $400 million due to alleged antisemitism on campus.

Senator Fetterman’s term ends in 2028.
