Trump wins again!
In a landmark decision that is already sending shockwaves through the political world, a Georgia judge has officially dismissed the 2020 election case targeting President Donald Trump and more than a dozen of his supporters. The new special prosecutor, after reviewing the evidence and the political chaos surrounding the case, declared that continuing the prosecution would be “unproductive” and a waste of resources.
This decision marks a major turning point: President Trump no longer faces any active criminal cases—a massive defeat for the years-long legal campaign pushed by Democrats and establishment forces.
Georgia Judge Ends Case Against Trump—Immediately and Completely
Fulton County Judge Scott McAfee issued one of the most decisive rulings of the year, dismissing the case “in its entirety.” The request for dismissal came from Peter Skandalakis, who stepped in to lead the case after no other prosecutor in the state was willing to touch it following the removal of controversial District Attorney Fani Willis.
Skandalakis, in his 23-page legal filing, admitted the case was “on life support.” After reviewing the facts, he concluded the charges never should have moved forward in the first place.
Even Jack Smith Gave Up — So Georgia Followed Suit
One of the most damning parts of Skandalakis’ explanation was his comparison to Special Counsel Jack Smith. Smith—armed with unlimited federal resources and backed by the Biden-era DOJ—dropped his own federal version of the Georgia indictment after Trump’s 2024 reelection win.
Smith admitted he could not indict a sitting president. Skandalakis took that as a signal: if the federal government, with all its power, saw no path to prosecution, the state version was even weaker.
Original Charges Widely Considered Political From the Beginning
The original indictment from August 2023 accused Trump and 18 allies of racketeering, conspiracy, and making “false statements.” Critics said from the outset that the charges were politically motivated and aimed at blocking Trump’s return to the White House.
Trump famously traveled to Atlanta for booking, producing a mug shot that became an iconic image for millions of Americans fed up with political double standards.
Steve Sadow, Trump’s attorney, said the ruling confirms what many have believed for years:
“The political persecution of President Trump is finally over.”
The Fani Willis Scandal Destroyed the Case’s Credibility
By early 2024, the case was overshadowed by a bombshell scandal involving Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis and special prosecutor Nathan Wade. Their secret romantic relationship—paid for in part by taxpayer-funded contracts—led to Wade’s removal from the case.
The Georgia Court of Appeals then removed Willis entirely, and the Georgia Supreme Court refused to rescue her in 2025. By then, the entire prosecution had lost public trust.
The collapse was inevitable.
Why Prosecutors Dropped the Case
Skandalakis outlined several key reasons the case had to end:
1. The case could take a decade to reach trial.
With President Trump in office until at least January 2029, a trial would be delayed for years, making prosecution impractical.
2. The state lacked the resources.
Georgia did not have the manpower or funding to pursue such a massive, politically charged RICO case.
3. The RICO theory was legally weak.
Skandalakis admitted that the “overt acts” cited—such as public statements, tweets, scheduling phone calls, or attending hearings—did not amount to a criminal conspiracy.
These were the actions of a president raising legitimate concerns about election integrity—not a crime.
Trump Now Has Zero Active Criminal Cases
With Georgia’s case officially finished and two federal cases already dismissed, President Donald Trump stands fully cleared of the legal obstacles that opponents hoped would derail his presidency.
The only remaining matter is an appeal of a Manhattan business-records conviction—one widely criticized as political theater—where Trump received no penalty at sentencing.
What This Means for 2025 and Beyond
For millions of Americans—especially conservative voters—this dismissal is more than a legal victory. It is a historic blow to political lawfare, a sign that the truth has finally won out over years of partisan attacks.
President Trump enters the coming years stronger, vindicated, and with every major legal case against him defeated.
