AG Letitia James Laughs In Trump’s Face

She should be removed for something this pathetic!

In the courtroom during former President Donald Trump’s testimony for the $250 million civil fraud trial filed by New York Attorney General Letitia James in 2022, reports suggest that Letitia James shockingly couldn’t help but laugh!

According to Newsweek, his case centers on allegations that Trump, along with top executives including his sons from The Trump Organization, conspired to inflate his net worth significantly to facilitate business deals and secure loans. Trump, Donald Trump Jr., Eric Trump, and The Trump Organization are all co-defendants in this civil case.

Apart from this civil fraud trial, Trump is simultaneously facing 91 felony charges across four criminal indictments. Trump vehemently denies any wrongdoing, attributing his legal issues to what he claims is a politically motivated “witch hunt” as he gears up for the 2024 presidential election.

In September, New York Judge Arthur Engoron, presiding over the civil fraud trial, ruled that Trump, his adult sons, their businesses, and executives had indeed engaged in fraudulent activities. It was found that they had overstated the value of certain Trump properties and exaggerated his net worth to secure loans and business opportunities. While the court has yet to make decisions on other accusations, including falsifying business records, insurance fraud, and conspiracy claims, the potential outcome could result in Trump being prohibited from conducting business in the state and losing some of his prominent properties, such as 40 Wall Street.

One such property is the 72-story neo-Gothic building in New York City’s financial district, where Trump leases luxury apartments facing the New York Stock Exchange.

During his testimony, Trump took the opportunity to criticize Attorney General Letitia James, known for her investigations into his affairs. In response to one of his comments, James reportedly burst into laughter, as witnessed by those present in the courtroom.

Adam Klasfeld, a senior legal correspondent for The Messenger, posted on social media that Trump’s remark about James not knowing “what 40 Wall Street is” elicited visible amusement from the New York Attorney General. He noted, “NYAG is visibly cackling at the remark for a bit, then puts her head down to compose herself.”

Molly Crane-Newman, a staff reporter for the New York Daily News who was also in the courtroom, pointed out in her post that James’ New York City office is “right next door” to 40 Wall Street.

Trump’s attack on James continued during his testimony, where he resorted to name-calling and bullying tactics. In response, James posted on social media, emphasizing that despite Trump’s attempts to distract, he had committed fraud, and the evidence supports it. She asserted, “Numbers and facts don’t lie.”

In a counter-move, Trump later referred to James as a “political hack” on his Truth Social platform.

The trial will resume with Ivanka Trump’s expected testimony on Wednesday. Although she was initially a co-defendant in the case, she was subsequently dismissed. Despite her efforts to avoid being called as a witness, Judge Engoron issued a ruling compelling her to testify.
