American Teachers Attack Trump

This must have been embarrassing.

In a stunning display of political bias and educational decline, the nation’s largest teachers union—the National Education Association (NEA)—is under fire after approving a resolution targeting President Trump that misspells the word “fascism” not once, but twice.

The resolution, passed at the NEA’s annual convention on Sunday, claimed that Donald Trump poses a threat to democracy and urged the union to label his agenda as “facism” [sic] in all official materials.

“The NEA commits to opposing what it describes as Trump’s alignment with fascist principles by incorporating the term ‘facism’ [sic] into its official materials to define his policies and behavior,” the document stated.

The spelling error in a resolution drafted by professional educators quickly sparked outrage and ridicule across social media and conservative circles.

Conservative Experts Respond

Corey A. DeAngelis, a leading conservative voice on education policy, called out the union’s hypocrisy.

“The irony is almost too rich to parody,” DeAngelis wrote in a Fox News op-ed. “This is a union of teachers, and they can’t even spell the word they’re using to slander a former president.”

Adding to the absurdity, the NEA admitted it would need an extra $3,500 to implement the resolution, claiming the organization doesn’t currently have the staff or resources to promote the anti-Trump message effectively.

Public Schools or Political Machines?

Conservative education advocate Tina Descovich, co-founder of Moms for Liberty, slammed the NEA’s priorities.

“If the largest teachers union in America can’t define fascism—or even spell it correctly—it’s no wonder our schools are failing,” she posted on X. “They’re more concerned with politics than with reading, writing, and math. It’s infuriating.”

Washington State Rep. Jim Walsh (R-19th District) was even more direct:

“This is hysterical slander wrapped in bureaucratic incompetence. No wonder so many parents are choosing to homeschool their kids,” he said.

Walsh pointed out the absurdity of a taxpayer-funded union lobbying against a sitting president while making glaring academic mistakes in the process.

Even Teachers Are Speaking Out

One teacher on social media criticized the resolution’s logic and language:

“It’s pretty telling when the NEA misspells ‘fascism’ twice in a single sentence. If one of my students used that kind of reasoning in an essay, I’d give them a failing grade.”

🚨 What This Means for America’s Schools

For many Americans—especially parents and grandparents—this controversy is a wake-up call. The very institutions trusted to educate our children are now openly pushing partisan political agendas, even if it means embarrassing themselves in the process.

As more families turn to homeschooling and school choice, the NEA’s latest blunder may only fuel the growing backlash against politicized public education.
