They are furious with Carlson.

On Monday (March 13) night, former White House Press Secretary and current MSNBC host Jen Psaki took a swipe at Fox News host Tucker Carlson, claiming that the recent court filings proved the host doesn’t respect his viewers.

Speaking on “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert,” Psaki joked that for “20 seconds,” she thought Tucker Carlson was “one of us.”

But clarified that “by second 21,” she realized Carlson was “intentionally sharing disinformation with his audiences… treating them like they are stupid” to save viewers, make money, and “save his job.”

Psaki made the remarks, referencing recent revelations made in a court filing in the $1.6 billion defamation lawsuit brought against the network by Dominion Voting Systems over unfounded claims it perpetuated about the 2020 election being stolen.

The filings by Dominion show how Fox stars, including Carlson, Laura Ingraham, and Sean Hannity, dismissed claims by former President Donald Trump about voter fraud privately while worrying how fact-checking on the air would upset the network’s viewers.

Colbert responded that while Carlson’s behavior wasn’t “surprising,” it was “unsettling to hear.”

Psaki continued that Carlson’s actions were “a little bit more than unsettling,” noting that she had watched Colbert’s show before and knew his “more than unsettled.”

The former White House Press Secretary added, “it wasn’t a shock” to her that Fox News was sharing inaccurate information, adding that she is “horrified” by the network sharing disinformation, which she believed is “the most problematic.”

Carlson has come under fire since his text messages about the network’s January 6 reporting were released.
