This screams injustice.
In a massive blow to former President Donald Trump, a federal appeals court decided to put a halt on Judge Aileen Cannon’s special master review for the documents which were taken by the FBI from Trump’s Mar-a-Lago home in Florida.
Looks like Biden got his way again.
According to NBC, in September Judge Aileen Cannon decided to appoint a special master to review all of the documents which were retrieved from Trump’s home to ensure more transparency.
President Biden’s Justice Department insisted that a special master wasn’t needed to look through all of the documents.
The federal appeals court blasted Judge Cannon and wrote, “The law is clear. We cannot write a rule that allows any subject of a search warrant to block government investigations after the execution of the warrant. Nor can we write a rule that allows only former presidents to do so.”
This is a considered as a major loss for Donald Trump. Trump wanted a special master to ensure that his name was in the clear moving forward however now the American people will have to rely on President Biden’s DOJ to tell us what was taken from Mar-a-Lago.
