Apparently, there is no line Cheney isn’t willing to cross.

Former Representative Liz Cheney (R-Wyo.) recently directed criticism towards former President Trump regarding his initiative to sell Bibles, suggesting that he should instead take the time to read and understand the content, particularly focusing on the commandment against adultery found in Exodus 20:14.

In response to a screenshot of Trump’s promotion of “God Bless USA” Bibles on Truth Social, Cheney took to X, the platform previously known as Twitter, to convey her message. She emphasized the significance of the Holy Week and advised Trump to reconsider his actions, proposing that he purchase and delve into the teachings of the Bible himself.

Trump’s venture into Bible sales, in collaboration with country musician Lee Greenwood, coincides with the approaching Easter season. Trump, in a promotional video shared on Truth Social, expressed his endorsement of the Bible, deeming it his favorite book and encouraging Americans to acquire a copy for their households. He emphasized the need to restore religious values in the country, asserting that the absence of religion, particularly Christianity, is a major contributing factor to societal turmoil.

The Bible being offered for sale features not only the scripture but also includes patriotic elements such as words from Greenwood’s “God Bless the U.S.A.,” as well as with excerpts from the U.S. Constitution, the Bill of Rights, the Declaration of Independence, and the Pledge of Allegiance, priced at $60.

Trump’s involvement in controversies related to allegations of infidelity is noted, including a recent defamation case involving E. Jean Carroll’s accusations of sexual assault. Furthermore, Trump faces impending legal proceedings in New York regarding allegations of falsifying business records related to hush money payments made to adult film actress Stormy Daniels. Trump has denied the allegations, maintaining his innocence in both cases.

Cheney’s remarks underscore the ongoing tension within the Republican Party and broader political landscape, highlighting diverging perspectives on issues ranging from morality to governance. As Trump continues to wield influence within the party and beyond, his actions and initiatives are subject to scrutiny and debate, reflecting deeper ideological divisions within American politics.
