Democrats are picking another fight with Trump.
Illinois Governor JB Pritzker has launched an all-out political assault on President Donald Trump’s immigration enforcement efforts — accusing federal agents of racism, authoritarianism, and even Nazi-style behavior.
In a fiery appearance on Fox News’ Special Report, the Democrat governor ridiculed Trump’s claim that ICE officers are targeting “the worst of the worst” illegal immigrants, instead alleging that agents are “literally going after black and brown people because of the color of their skin.”
Pritzker has established a taxpayer-funded “Illinois Accountability Commission” to monitor federal immigration enforcement in his state. Critics say it’s just another anti-Trump stunt designed to shield illegal immigrants from deportation and demonize federal agents who risk their lives daily to protect American communities.
“They’re literally going after black and brown people because of the color of their skin,” Pritzker insisted — while refusing to acknowledge the record number of violent criminals removed under Trump’s immigration crackdown.
🔹 Pritzker Doubles Down on Nazi Comparison
When pressed by host Bret Baier about his inflammatory comparison of ICE to Nazi Germany, Pritzker refused to back down. “This is how authoritarian regimes begin,” he claimed, accusing agents of “asking people for papers” and “taking away rights.”
Conservatives blasted the comments as disgraceful and historically ignorant. Trump supporters argue that the president’s immigration policies have saved lives, restored border security, and re-established respect for the rule of law — something sorely lacking under Democratic leadership in Illinois.
🔹 Trump’s Record on Immigration Speaks for Itself
Even Pritzker begrudgingly admitted that under President Trump, illegal border crossings have dropped sharply. Yet, the governor still complained that Trump refuses to push “comprehensive immigration reform” — a Washington talking point that’s gone nowhere for decades.
“Why does he want to send ICE and CBP in? Why not get immigration reform in place?” Pritzker asked — ignoring that Trump’s crackdown came after years of congressional failure.
🔹 Fearmongering About 2024
The Illinois Democrat went further, reviving conspiracy theories that Trump might “try to steal the next election,” referencing long-debunked claims about 2020 and retired Gen. Michael Flynn. “You don’t think Donald Trump heard that and thought maybe that’s a good idea?” Pritzker said, offering no evidence.
Republicans say Pritzker’s real goal is to distract from his state’s crime crisis and failing sanctuary-city policies, which have overwhelmed law enforcement and drained taxpayer resources.
🔹 Trump Stands Firm
While Democrat governors grandstand, the Trump administration continues to fight for national security. A federal judge’s restraining order currently blocks the National Guard deployment to Illinois, but the administration has appealed to the Supreme Court, arguing that Democrat obstruction is putting American lives at risk.
Patriots nationwide see this showdown as part of a bigger fight: law and order versus chaos and political theater.
