Hillary is losing it.
Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has launched yet another attack on President Donald Trump, this time over his plans to build a grand new ballroom at the White House — a privately funded project that’s already stirring outrage among top Democrats.
Clinton took to social media Tuesday morning to slam the move, insisting that the White House doesn’t belong to Trump.
“It’s not his home — it belongs to the American people, and he’s tearing it apart,” Clinton posted on X (formerly Twitter), linking to a Washington Post article headlined “White House started Demolishing East Wing Facade to Build Trump’s Ballroom.”
The image Clinton shared showed construction crews at work — but what she left out is that no taxpayer money is being used for the project.
Trump’s Ballroom: A Patriotic Project Funded by Private Donors
White House spokesman Davis Ingle defended the project in a statement to Fox News Digital, praising the president’s commitment to restoring American pride.
“President Trump is working 24/7 to Make America Great Again — including his historic beautification of the White House — all at zero taxpayer expense,” Ingle said. “These upgrades will benefit future presidents and every American who visits the People’s House.”
President Trump announced Monday that construction was officially underway after months of planning.
“I’m proud to share that construction has officially begun on the new, grand White House Ballroom,” President Trump announced on Truth Social. “The addition is entirely separate from the main residence and will make the East Wing more stunning than ever before.”
Trump also noted that presidents for over 150 years have dreamed of having a proper ballroom for state dinners, national celebrations, and foreign visits.
“I’m proud to finally get it done — and it won’t cost the American taxpayer one penny,” he said. “This project is being privately funded by generous patriots, great American companies, and, yes, yours truly.”
Democrats Lash Out as Trump Beautifies the People’s House
Democrats immediately erupted. New Jersey Senator Andy Kim called the project “disgusting,” posting a photo of his family near the area being renovated.
Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth Warren mocked the effort, while Pennsylvania Democrat Malcolm Kenyatta accused Republicans of “funding ballrooms for billionaires while ignoring working families.”
“Republican math,” Kenyatta posted. “Can afford: Trump ballroom, $40 billion Argentina bailout, and tax cuts for billionaires. Can’t afford: health care or tax relief for middle-class Americans.”
Their outrage mirrors past Democrat criticism when President Trump installed two massive 88-foot American flags and revitalized the Rose Garden — both at no cost to taxpayers.
The Facts: $200 Million Project, 100% Privately Funded
White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt confirmed that the $200 million ballroom project is entirely privately funded and will host up to 650 seated guests.
“For decades, the White House relied on temporary tents to host major events,” Leavitt said. “This new addition will finally give America’s White House the elegance and functionality it deserves — without taking a dime from taxpayers.”
The 90,000-square-foot expansion will allow the United States to host dignitaries and world leaders with proper formality — something every president since Ulysses S. Grant has wanted but never achieved.
Trump’s Legacy of Restoration and Patriotism
While Democrats continue their outrage campaign, millions of Americans see the ballroom as another example of Trump’s vision to restore American greatness — even inside the White House itself.
“President Trump isn’t destroying the People’s House — he’s restoring it,” one administration insider said. “He’s making it shine again — with pride, honor, and zero taxpayer burden.”
The ballroom joins Trump’s previous patriotic projects — including the return of massive American flags, a restored Rose Garden, and beautification initiatives that celebrate American history.
Bottom Line
Hillary Clinton may be trying to turn Trump’s ballroom into a political scandal, but for millions of Americans, it’s a symbol of pride, patriotism, and progress — a privately funded restoration of America’s most iconic building.
