This is totally bias and pathetic.
Left-wing media figures are now openly turning on podcast host Joe Rogan, months after acknowledging his role in helping Donald Trump reach millions of voters outside the traditional media bubble.
On Tuesday, MSNBC anchor Nicolle Wallace used her program Deadline: White House to criticize Rogan and other so-called “manosphere” podcasters for what she described as shifting away from Trump after previously praising him.
During the segment on MSNBC, Wallace aired a series of clips showing Rogan, Shawn Ryan, and Andrew Schulz offering favorable comments about Trump in 2024, followed by more critical remarks made in recent weeks.
Wallace argued that many media personalities who once aligned themselves with Trump are now expressing second thoughts, particularly those with large independent audiences that traditional networks struggle to reach.
One clip from October 2024 came from The Joe Rogan Experience, where Rogan remarked that Trump appeared largely unaffected by the stress of the presidency, noting that he seemed to age far less than past presidents.
More recent audio, however, showed Rogan and comedian Tom Segura questioning Trump’s performance, while other clips revisited Rogan’s criticism of Trump’s immigration policies—despite Rogan having endorsed and interviewed Trump shortly before the 2024 election.
Wallace also pointed to similar reversals from Andrew Schulz and Shawn Ryan, suggesting the podcasters had benefited from Trump’s momentum before distancing themselves once he returned to office.
“I’m not playing these clips because they’re heroes,” Wallace said. “I’m playing them because all three of them contributed to Donald Trump’s victory in an important way.”
She went on to single out Rogan, saying she had underestimated the political influence of large independent podcasts during the last election cycle. Wallace criticized Rogan’s earlier comments about Trump’s stamina and suggested his tone had changed now that Trump is governing again.
The segment highlighted a broader frustration on the left: while independent podcasters helped Trump bypass legacy media and connect directly with voters, those same voices refuse to act as permanent political allies.
For many conservative viewers, the backlash underscores a familiar pattern—when outsiders help disrupt the political establishment, they are celebrated only until they stop following the approved narrative.
