McConnell is a RINO!

Mitch McConnell, the Republican leader in the Senate, has stated that Fox News was wrong to portray the events of the January 6th Capitol riot as a mostly peaceful, albeit disorderly, protest.

Furthermore, the Capitol Police chief also attacked Fox News for what he claimed was a downplay of the riot which he found “offensive” and “misleading.”

According to The Hill, McConnell shocked Republicans when he outrageously sided with Police Chief Tom Manger who attacked Fox’s Tucker Carlson for “cherry-picked” clips out of the Capitol riot footage which was given to him by House Speaker Kevin McCarthy.

“With regard to the presentation on Fox News last night, I want to associate myself entirely with the opinion of the chief of the Capitol police about what happened on Jan. 6,” McConnell said siding with the Democrats and Capitol police.

“Clearly the chief of the Capitol Police, in my view, correctly described what most of us witnessed firsthand on Jan. 6,” McConnell added.

He then attacked Fox News for how Tucker Carlson reported on the event saying, “It was a mistake, in my view, [for] Fox News to depict this in a way completely at variance with what our chief law enforcement official here at the Capitol.”

Democrat Chuck Schumer also attacked Speaker McCarthy and Fox News saying, “Last night, Fox News with Speaker McCarthy (R-Calif.) as a willing, capable and powerful accomplice, aired one of the most shameful hours we have ever seen in the entire history of cable television.”

“What has happened to any standards of honor, of honesty, of decency in America when this happens?” Schumer asked.
