Don’t let the mainstream media fool you. Here’s what conservatives need to know.

Senate Republicans Push Back Against Left’s Attempt to Undercut Trump’s Authority on Iran

Thune: “President Trump is Acting Within His Constitutional Authority”

Senate Majority Leader John Thune (R-SD) made it clear Tuesday that Congress should not rush to interfere with President Donald Trump’s response to escalating aggression from Iran. Thune dismissed premature calls for legislation aimed at limiting Trump’s military options, calling it an overreaction to a fast-evolving conflict in the Middle East.

“We’re getting the cart ahead of the horse,” Thune said on Capitol Hill. “This is a developing situation, and the president is perfectly within his authority to protect U.S. interests and respond to threats.”

Democrats Move to Tie Trump’s Hands Amid Iranian Hostilities

As tensions between Iran and Israel heat up, Democrats in Washington are once again focused on restricting American strength. Senator Tim Kaine (D-VA) introduced legislation Monday that would limit Trump’s ability to act militarily without congressional approval. Kaine claims it’s about preventing another “endless war,” but critics see it as a political maneuver to weaken Trump’s hand abroad.

Trump’s Pressure Campaign on Iran Escalates as Nuclear Threat Grows

President Trump has increased his hardline stance against Iran’s regime, including direct condemnation of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. Reports suggest Israeli officials are urging the Trump administration to help neutralize Iran’s underground Fordow nuclear facility—an alarming development that underscores the stakes.

Despite this, the White House maintains that it has not been involved in Israel’s latest operations, though Trump’s rhetoric signals a clear warning to Tehran: The United States will not tolerate Iranian nuclear ambitions.

Far-Left Democrats Join Forces With Massie to Undermine Trump

In the House, Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY) has introduced a companion bill echoing Kaine’s position, raising eyebrows among Republicans. Even more alarming: his legislation has gained backing from the far-left “Squad,” including Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), Ilhan Omar (D-MN), Rashida Tlaib (D-MI), and other progressive radicals.

Massie argued that only Congress can declare war—an interpretation of the Constitution that critics say ignores the president’s need for swift action in the face of imminent threats. So far, no other Republican lawmaker has signed on.

GOP Holds the Line for American Strength and Security

While Democrats push to restrain America’s commander-in-chief, GOP leaders are urging patience and prudence. Thune stressed that Congress may consider action later if hostilities escalate, but for now, the priority is deterrence and strength.

“Let’s pray for the best outcome,” Thune said, “and that would be Iran coming to the table and ending their nuclear program.”
