Here’s what we know…
It is being reported that Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell is now in favor of impeaching President Donald Trump so “Trumpism” can be wiped out of the Republican Party.
According to CNN reports, McConnell is still angry about the recent protest which turned violent at the United States Capitol and President Trump’s lack of remorse following the events which transpired.
However, McConnell has yet to make a decision on whether or not he will vote to convict Trump and wants to look at the article of impeachment first.
Furthermore, an unnamed source who personally knows both McConnell and Trump claimed McConnell currently “hates” the president for the protest which left at least five people dead.
The New York Times is also reporting that Representative Kevin McCarthy spoke to GOP colleagues about calling on President Trump to resign over the recent protest.
While McCarthy has personally admitted that he not in favor of Trump’s impeachment he has not urged fellow Republicans to vote “no” on Trump’s impeachment.
