Ocasio-Cortez Catches Spy In Trump Administration?

AOC really is crazy, isn’t she?

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) raised concerns this week about reports indicating that tech mogul Elon Musk might have gained access to sensitive U.S. classified materials, calling the situation a “grave threat” to national security. The outspoken progressive took to X (formerly Twitter) to voice her alarm, emphasizing that this situation was serious enough to warrant immediate attention.

“This is a five-alarm fire,” Ocasio-Cortez wrote in a post. “The American people elected Donald Trump to lead this country, not a billionaire with his own business interests and foreign connections.” She went on to criticize the idea of a private individual, especially one without elected authority, having control over sensitive U.S. intelligence. Musk, she argued, represents a potentially dangerous concentration of power, which could compromise the security of the nation.

Her comments were prompted by reports that officials at the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) were placed on leave after refusing to cooperate with the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), a commission led by Musk. These officials claim that despite their objections, DOGE ultimately gained access to classified information, including critical intelligence reports. Musk has been advocating for the dismantling of USAID, which he has argued is an inefficient agency, a position that has garnered support from former President Donald Trump.

Adding fuel to the fire, Musk’s DOGE team also reportedly carried out a similar operation at the Treasury Department, where it allegedly gained access to the government’s payment systems. This has raised further questions about the protection of private Americans’ information. Senator Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) has since demanded answers from Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent on whether proper safeguards are in place to ensure that sensitive personal data is not being compromised.

For Republicans, this issue underscores the potential dangers of allowing unelected elites—especially those with global business ties—to have unchecked influence over critical government functions. The idea of a private individual holding such sway over U.S. national security is troubling, and it’s time for a full investigation into how far this influence extends.
