Pelosi keeps trashing the president and it’s pathetic.
Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi recently expressed concerns about a security issue involving the CIA and the Office of Personnel Management (OPM), highlighting the risks posed to intelligence professionals. Pelosi suggested that President Trump might be unaware of the situation involving the CIA’s use of unclassified email to send a list of new employees to the OPM, claiming this could compromise the safety of those working on sensitive intelligence missions.
Pelosi pointed out that this decision to release identifying details, including first names and last initials of CIA employees still on probation, was an unwise move. She remarked that the idea was one of the worst to come out of the current administration, drawing attention to the risk it posed to the lives of those working in the intelligence community, especially when sensitive information about national security is exposed to the public. She also claimed that President Trump was likely unaware of the incident, stating that it may not even have reached his level of understanding of intelligence matters.
Senator Mark Warner (D-Va.) strongly condemned the move, emphasizing that exposing the identities of CIA officers jeopardized national security by making them vulnerable to foreign threats, particularly from China. Warner warned that such careless handling of intelligence could endanger the lives of those working to protect the United States.
Rep. Jim Himes (D-Conn.), the top Democrat on the House Intelligence Committee, also criticized the CIA’s actions, expressing deep concern about the exposure of such sensitive details on an unclassified system. Himes reiterated the importance of maintaining the confidentiality of intelligence operatives for their safety and the security of the nation. He concluded that both the CIA and the White House failed to properly manage this critical information, which could have serious consequences for national security.
For Republicans, this is a troubling example of how the current administration’s mishandling of sensitive intelligence undermines the safety of those who protect the country. We must demand accountability for such lapses in judgment to ensure that the safety and security of our nation are never compromised.
