Trump Admin Reveals ‘Dumbest’ 2028 Candidates

They were spot on with this!

Vice President JD Vance offered a blunt assessment Wednesday night of the Democratic Party’s early 2028 presidential field, arguing that voters are already being presented with deeply flawed options.

During an appearance on Fox News’ Jesse Watters Primetime, Vance said the Democratic Party’s internal direction is producing candidates who are out of step with everyday Americans.

Vance: Democrats ‘Can’t Face Reality’

“The Democrats have a couple of very big problems,” Vance explained. “They’ve leaned so hard into woke ideology that they can’t see what’s obvious to most people.”

Vance argued that Kamala Harris is emblematic of that problem.

“She’s simply not qualified to be president of the United States,” he said. “That’s why she ended up as vice president in 2020 and later became their nominee. This is who she is.”

Sharp Words for Gavin Newsom

Vance then turned his attention to California Governor Gavin Newsom, delivering an equally critical assessment.

“Vance also criticized California Governor Gavin Newsom, calling him deeply flawed and ineffective. He argued that the rise of Newsom and Harris as leading contenders highlights how disconnected the Democratic Party has become.”

“Let them fight it out,” he added. “We’ll be ready.”

Polling Shows Tight Democratic Contest

According to the RealClearPolitics polling average, Newsom and Harris currently sit atop a hypothetical national Democratic primary field.

Newsom holds roughly 23.6 percent support, while Harris follows with about 21.4 percent, signaling a divided party heading into the next election cycle.

Behind the scenes, however, tensions appear to be growing.

The New York Times reported last month that the relationship between the two Bay Area politicians has become strained, including a moment when Newsom allegedly failed to return Harris’ call the day President Joe Biden withdrew from the race.

Ironically, both politicians entered major public office on the same day — January 8, 2004 — when Newsom became San Francisco’s mayor and Harris was sworn in as district attorney.

Vance Dominates Republican Outlook

While Democrats struggle to unify, Vance appears firmly in control of the Republican conversation heading toward 2028.

The RealClearPolitics average shows the vice president holding a 37.8-point lead over his nearest hypothetical challenger, Donald Trump Jr..

At just 41 years old, Vance has said his priority remains the 2026 midterm elections. He has indicated that any formal 2028 discussions will take place after consulting with Donald Trump following the November vote.

‘They Have Nothing to Run On’

Vance argued that Democrats are offering voters opposition rather than solutions.

“They don’t have an agenda for governing,” he said. “Their entire focus is Donald Trump.”

He questioned whether Democrats would lower taxes, address crime, or reduce everyday costs for families.

“The answer is no,” Vance said. “They’ll spend all their time and all your money trying to attack Donald Trump instead.”

Inflation and Affordability

Addressing concerns about the economy, Vance rejected claims that Republicans are vulnerable on cost-of-living issues.

“The affordability crisis was created by Democrats,” he said. “Families are feeling it, and it’s real.”

Vance pointed to early economic indicators under the Trump administration.

“We haven’t even been in office a full year, and prices are already starting to ease,” he said. “Rent is stabilizing. Grocery prices are leveling off.”

“Is there more work to do? Absolutely,” Vance added. “But we’re finally moving in the right direction.”
