President Donald Trump is once again proving he won’t stay silent when the media takes cheap shots at him.
This time, the target is NBC’s “Late Night” host Seth Meyers, who mocked Trump over his comments about U.S. Navy aircraft carriers.
During a recent address to members of the military, Trump criticized the Navy’s push to replace traditional steam-powered catapults with expensive electric launch systems on new aircraft carriers.
“They’re wasting billions on these ridiculous electric systems,” Trump said. “When it comes to building aircraft carriers, I’ll make sure it’s steam-powered catapults only. They’ve already thrown away nearly a billion dollars trying to make the electric ones function.”
But Meyers — known for his liberal rants disguised as comedy — seized on the remarks to take personal jabs at Trump during his Friday night monologue.
Meyers joked, “Trump seems more fixated on catapults than Wile E. Coyote ever was. Give it time, and he’ll be complaining that our troops stopped riding rockets.”
Trump didn’t mince words. On Saturday, the President took aim at Meyers in a heated Truth Social post, describing him as “the most untalented performer ever to appear on live television.”
Trump went on to say:
“He just kept ranting — totally unhinged. Why would NBC pour time and money into someone like that? No skill, no audience, completely anti-Trump — and honestly, it ought to be illegal!”

Seth Meyers, once a comedian, now spends his airtime attacking conservatives and mocking the millions of patriotic Americans who voted for Trump. Many viewers have since tuned out, with ratings for left-wing late-night shows hitting record lows.

Supporters say Trump is right to fight back — and that his willingness to call out media bias is one reason his base remains stronger than ever. “He’s the only one with the guts to stand up to these media bullies,” one fan wrote online.
