Trump’s Threat To Biden And DOJ

Trump is not backing down at all.

On his social media platform, Truth Social, Donald Trump seems to have issued a veiled warning to President Joe Biden, alluding to potential legal consequences. The former president expressed his frustration with the numerous lawsuits and indictments he currently faces and cautioned Biden that he could face similar circumstances.

According to Newsweek, Trump’s message read, “Why didn’t Crooked Joe Biden tell his Injustice Department to file the lawsuits and Indictments against me 3 years ago, instead of right in the middle of my campaign for President? You’re setting a BAD precedent for yourself, Joe. The same can happen to you. These Third World Biden Indictments, which should never have been filed, would have been tried and over with years ago. My SleazeBag Opponent shouldn’t be able to do this during my campaign, OR BEFORE THE ELECTION!”

In addition to facing two state indictments, Trump currently confronts federal charges in two criminal cases. One case involves alleged efforts to subvert the 2020 presidential election, while the other pertains to allegations of hoarding classified documents at his Mar-a-Lago estate and refusing to relinquish them when requested.

In a subsequent post on Truth Social, Trump further questioned the timing of what he terms “BIDEN INDICTMENTS & COURT CASES,” insinuating political motivations and interference in the election process.

The former president has consistently denied any wrongdoing and insists that these prosecutions are intended to hinder his presidential aspirations. During a rally in Iowa, Trump echoed his sentiments from his social media posts, accusing the Biden-led Justice Department of unfair practices and targeting him for political gain.

Trump stated, “They have taken our country to a new level, but this sets a precedent, allowing us to do the same to Biden when he leaves office, and that would be quite simple.” He also expressed reluctance to pursue such actions, citing the negative implications of such actions, but he asserted that the unprecedented indictment of a former president had been motivated by their lead in the polls.

Furthermore, Trump suggested that he refrained from pursuing similar actions against Biden while in office due to his respect for the presidency. He added, “I would never have taken such steps unless they did something unprecedented, like indicting a former president. They only indicted me because we were outperforming them in the polls. We were winning.”

Then on Sunday, former President Trump made a commitment to instruct the Department of Justice (DOJ) to investigate “radical” attorneys general (AG) and district attorneys (DA) if he were to be reelected as president in 2024. He emphasized his intention to carry out a comprehensive overhaul of the department.
