Trump Cancels Haley

Bye Bye Nikki Haley!

At a rally in Concord, New Hampshire, Former President Trump dismissed the possibility of selecting former United Nations ambassador Nikki Haley as his running mate.

Despite Haley’s prior reluctance to confirm or deny her interest in the role, Trump made it clear that he does not consider her “presidential timber” and indicated that such statements would likely remove her from consideration for the vice presidency. Trump, the frontrunner for the GOP nomination, received applause from the crowd as he expressed his views on Haley’s suitability for the role.

Haley, who has been a prominent contender in the GOP race in New Hampshire, had earlier hinted at the unlikelihood of her being the vice president, stating that the role was “off the table” during an interaction with voters.

Despite her rising poll numbers and speculation about her potential as Trump’s running mate, some prominent figures within Trump’s circle, including Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, Donald Trump Jr., and Steve Bannon, warned that such a choice could lead to a revolt among Trump’s most fervent supporters.

Trump, however, has been critical of Haley in recent weeks, launching personal attacks and even sharing a false birther conspiracy. Sources close to Trump downplayed the notion that he seriously considered Haley for the role. The remarks were made as New Hampshire voters prepared for the first-in-the-nation primary, with Trump maintaining a lead of just over 10 percent over Haley in the latest polling averages from The Hill/Decision Desk HQ.
