President Donald Trump has once again taken decisive action to put America First — ordering the United States to withdraw from UNESCO, a controversial U.N. organization accused of promoting left-wing ideology and anti-American values.
The State Department confirmed the move Tuesday, saying the U.S. will no longer fund or participate in the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), citing its failure to uphold its original mission.

“The United Nations has the potential to do great things,” Trump said, “but for decades it has failed. America should not be funding dysfunction.”
This marks the second time Trump has defunded UNESCO — the U.S. and Israel both withdrew in 2019 under his leadership due to the agency’s hostility toward Jewish heritage and Israeli sovereignty.
But in 2023, under President Biden, the U.S. rejoined, sparking backlash from conservatives who saw it as another example of globalist overreach and leftist cultural propaganda.
