Trump, GOP Make Schools ‘Christian’ Again

For Trump and the GOP, God comes first.

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton is leading the charge to bring prayer back to public schools, encouraging students to recite the Lord’s Prayer under a bold new state law designed to restore faith and values in the classroom.

Paxton stated in a strong message, as reported by The Texas Tribune, that Senate Bill 11 opens the door for Texas schools to once again include prayer and moments of reflection in the classroom.

“I encourage students to pray the Lord’s Prayer, as taught by Jesus Christ.”

This historic law, signed earlier this year, allows public schools to set aside voluntary daily prayer or Bible reading. School boards can adopt formal policies to provide a dedicated, non-instructional period for students and staff to pray, reflect, or read scripture — without replacing academic lessons.

Participation is voluntary, ensuring freedom of choice while giving students a chance to openly express their faith.

Faith vs. the Radical Left

Paxton’s announcement comes just weeks after a federal judge struck down a separate Texas law requiring the Ten Commandments to be displayed in public school classrooms.

But Paxton refuses to be silenced.

Paxton proclaimed that Texas classrooms should be places where God’s Word is read, the Ten Commandments are proudly shown, and prayers are lifted up. He warned that radical leftists are trying to erase truth, tear down the very foundation America was built upon, and undermine the moral core of the nation, vowing, “We will not stand by and let that happen.”

His call to action has energized conservatives and Christian families across Texas, while liberal activists are already threatening lawsuits.

Christian Values at the Core of Education

This year, Texas lawmakers passed a wave of reforms to protect faith in schools, including:

  • Voucher Program: Families can now use public funds for private and religious schools.
  • Bible-Based Curriculum: Optional for elementary schools, reinforcing Christian values.
  • Protected Prayer Periods: Schools are encouraged to set aside time for reflection and worship.

Paxton’s office will defend school districts against legal attacks from far-left organizations determined to block prayer in schools. He will also guide schools on how to implement daily prayer while staying within the law.

“Our Nation Was Built on Biblical Truth”

Paxton made it clear that this movement is about restoring America’s spiritual foundation.

“Our nation was founded on Biblical Truth,” he said. “We will not let the far-left push our country into the sinking sand of moral decay.”

Why This Matters Now

For decades, liberals have worked to remove prayer from schools, erasing the Christian heritage that shaped America. Now, under President Trump’s leadership and with strong Republican action in Texas, faith is making a comeback.

Texas has become the testing ground for nationwide change — a direct challenge to decades of court rulings that weakened the role of religion in public education.

As Democrats fight to stop these measures, conservatives are rallying around the message: Faith. Family. Freedom.
