According to a recent Rasmussen survey, former President Donald Trump has gained a significant advantage over Joe Biden in the race for the presidency, following his indictment last week.

Accoridng to Newsmax, as of February 15th, the Rasmussen poll had reported that Joe Biden was leading Donald Trump by a margin of 45% to 42%.

A recent survey conducted on April 2nd and 3rd, right after the announcement of the former president’s indictment but before his arraignment on Tuesday, revealed that Donald Trump had taken a significant lead over Joe Biden, with 47% of the respondents supporting Trump compared to 40% supporting Biden.

Dick Morris, a political strategist and adviser to Donald Trump, informed Newsmax that there has been a significant shift in the 2024 presidential race, with Trump gaining a net 10 points. Morris believes that this indicates a complete turnaround for the former president.

Trump’s pollster John McLaughlin released additional polling data over the weekend, which showed that the indictment had given Donald Trump a significant boost, with 51% of GOP voters supporting him compared to Ron DeSantis’ 21%, resulting in a 30-point lead for Trump.

The recent Rasmussen poll is the initial indication of a significant increase for Trump in a hypothetical general election face-off against Biden.
