WASHINGTON, D.C. — President Donald Trump is taking decisive action to protect America’s future — calling on Congress to stay in Washington until his landmark budget bill is passed and delivered to his desk.
In a bold Truth Social post from Air Force One on his way to the NATO summit in Europe, Trump declared:
“Now that we have achieved PEACE abroad, we must secure prosperity at home by passing THE GREAT, BIG, BEAUTIFUL BILL — and getting it to my desk ASAP!”
Trump’s plan — formally known as the One Big Beautiful Bill Act — is packed with conservative priorities: major tax relief, deep spending cuts, historic investments in border security, and a stronger national defense.
The 45th President wants the bill signed into law before July 4th, linking the legislation to the upcoming celebration of America’s 250th anniversary.
“This bill is a historic gift to the GREAT PEOPLE of the United States — a legacy of strength, safety, and economic freedom,” Trump wrote.
The Senate, still bogged down in internal debates, has yet to pass its version of the bill. But Trump isn’t backing down. He warned lawmakers that there would be no summer vacation until the job is done.
“To my friends in the Senate: LOCK YOURSELVES IN if needed. Don’t leave. Don’t stall. Get the job done this week,” Trump said.
“Work with the House and get this bill passed IMMEDIATELY. The American people are counting on us. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!”
