Trump won’t make the same mistakes Biden did.
Mike Huckabee, former governor of Arkansas and a staunch defender of Israel, believes that a shift in U.S. foreign policy in the Middle East will take no more than five minutes once Donald Trump returns to the Oval Office. Huckabee argues that President Trump’s re-election would be a pivotal moment in restoring unwavering American support for Israel and cutting off the financial lifeblood of terror organizations that threaten the region.
While President Biden and his administration have occasionally expressed support for Israel, Huckabee points out the inconsistency in their approach. “Biden talks about an ‘ironclad’ relationship with Israel one day, then the next, his administration pressures Israel to halt its military operations against Hamas,” Huckabee told FOX Business’ Maria Bartiromo. “It’s baffling. Why stop efforts against a group that murders innocent civilians and openly declares its hatred for the Jewish state?”
Huckabee emphasizes that the real threat to peace in the Middle East isn’t Hamas or Hezbollah, but Iran, which funnels resources into these terror groups. Under Biden, the U.S. abandoned the successful “maximum pressure” campaign on Iran, which had been effective in limiting Tehran’s ability to fund terrorism. Huckabee believes that Trump’s return to power will restore this aggressive stance, cutting off Iran’s funding and putting a stop to the flow of resources that enables terror groups to operate freely.
The former governor also praises Trump’s past accomplishments for Israel, citing his administration’s historic moves, like recognizing Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and affirming Israel’s sovereignty over the Golan Heights. These actions, Huckabee asserts, made it clear that Trump is a true ally to the Jewish state.
As Trump assembles his Cabinet for the second term, Huckabee predicts that it will be a “disruptive” team, challenging the entrenched D.C. bureaucracy and delivering real change for American families. “If there ever was a time for disruption, it’s now,” Huckabee said, noting that Trump’s team of reformers, including South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem, Rep. Elise Stefanik, and former Rep. Tulsi Gabbard, will lead the charge against the “deep state” and the political establishment.
Huckabee’s optimism about a Trump presidency is rooted in the belief that the former president has the mandate and vision to shift America’s foreign and domestic policies in a way that benefits everyday Americans and strengthens alliances with key partners like Israel.
