Trump’s Shocking Link To Reagan Revealed

History repeats itself!

In a historic shift, President-elect Donald Trump’s inauguration will be held indoors at the U.S. Capitol, marking the first time the ceremony has been moved indoors since President Ronald Reagan’s second inauguration in 1985. The decision comes in response to an especially harsh winter forecast, with temperatures in Washington, D.C., expected to dip dangerously low on Inauguration Day.

The weather is predicted to be brutal, with a high of just 23°F and a low of 10°F. To make matters worse, strong winds will create a windchill factor, making it feel like single digits. With such severe cold on the horizon, President Trump opted to hold the event inside for the safety of all those attending, including law enforcement, first responders, and the hundreds of thousands of supporters expected to be in attendance.

The tradition of holding inaugural ceremonies outdoors dates back to President James Monroe’s inauguration in 1817. Before that, President Thomas Jefferson’s 1801 inauguration was the first to be held indoors, setting the stage for a tradition that continued for several decades. The outdoor ceremonies became more common after the Capitol was damaged during the War of 1812, making the outdoor setting in front of the National Mall a practical choice.

Although outdoor inaugurations are the norm, history shows that cold weather hasn’t deterred past ceremonies. For example, President John F. Kennedy’s inauguration in 1961 saw temperatures similar to what is expected this year, with a high of 26°F and a low of 19°F. Despite a snowstorm the day before, the ceremony proceeded as planned outdoors.

Addressing the upcoming cold, President Trump took to Truth Social, emphasizing the dangerous conditions and urging attendees to dress warmly. He also announced that the Capital One Arena will be open for live viewing of the inauguration and to host the Presidential Parade. After the swearing-in, President Trump plans to join the crowd at the arena to celebrate with his supporters.

This inaugural change is a reminder that even in the face of adversity, President Trump remains committed to putting the safety and well-being of the American people first while celebrating the peaceful transfer of power.
