Democrats are eating their own now.
Van Jones, a CNN commentator and former adviser to President Obama, recently criticized Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer for his claims that Democrats didn’t mislead the American public about President Joe Biden’s ability to serve in office. On Monday, Jones bluntly called Schumer’s defense “foolish” and suggested that the truth about Biden’s health was far more obvious than many would admit.
Jones, expressing his surprise at the extent of Biden’s decline, pointed out that those close to the president surely knew the reality. “A lot was known and wasn’t said,” he remarked. “Now, it’s leaking out all the time anyway.” He further warned Schumer that continuing to deny the truth would only damage his credibility, humorously adding, “Schumer’s nose is going to start growing” if he kept repeating his false claims.
The controversy began when Schumer appeared on NBC’s Meet the Press last Sunday, where he vigorously defended Biden’s mental acuity. Schumer insisted that the president’s mind was “great” and that claims to the contrary—particularly those pushed by conservative outlets—were nothing more than “right-wing propaganda.” He went as far as to argue that no misleading information had been presented to the public about Biden’s health.
However, when pressed on whether Biden could serve another term, Schumer refused to answer, dodging the question entirely. CNN panelists, including Abby Phillip and S.E. Cupp, saw this refusal as a major red flag. Cupp, in particular, called the defense of Biden “delusional,” highlighting how Democrats continue to defend the president even as his physical and mental fitness increasingly becomes a topic of concern.
Scott Jennings, a CNN political commentator, suggested that admitting to covering up Biden’s health problems would amount to a confession of one of the biggest political cover-ups in modern history. He pointed out that many Democrats, including pundits and White House insiders, had either knowingly lied or turned a blind eye to the reality of Biden’s deteriorating condition. According to Jennings, admitting the truth now would force Democrats to confront the consequences of their dishonesty.
This growing scandal is part of a much larger issue facing the Democratic Party. Instead of taking responsibility, they continue to peddle a narrative that Biden’s health is perfectly fine, despite mounting evidence to the contrary. As more details about his condition leak out, the damage to the Democrats’ credibility grows. It’s becoming clear that the American people are not buying the story, and the longer the Democrats cling to their lies, the more they risk undermining the faith of voters.
Republicans, meanwhile, have been warning about Biden’s fitness for office for months, and the mainstream media’s efforts to downplay or dismiss these concerns are only making things worse. It’s time for honesty and transparency, not more political cover-ups. Democrats may continue to play the game, but they’re only digging their own grave as the truth continues to surface.
