Liberals and the mainstream media is saying Trump is violating the constitution, however Trump feels differently.
President Trump makes it clear—he’s not backing down when it comes to protecting Americans from dangerous illegal immigrants, even in the face of judicial pressure.
In a headline-making interview aired Sunday on NBC’s Meet the Press, President Donald J. Trump reaffirmed his commitment to enforcing strong immigration laws, saying he will continue to rely on Attorney General Pam Bondi and his top legal team to interpret a recent Supreme Court decision involving a controversial deportation case.
At the center of the case is Kilmar Abrego Garcia, a foreign national who entered the U.S. illegally and was deported to a high-security prison in El Salvador—known for housing some of the region’s most violent criminals. The Biden-era mistake was initially labeled an “administrative error,” but Trump’s team says new evidence links Garcia to MS-13, the brutal gang behind countless murders, drug trafficking, and violent crimes on American soil.
Now, under the Court’s latest ruling, Trump’s administration has been ordered to “facilitate” Garcia’s return to the United States. But the president isn’t giving in so easily.
“I have brilliant lawyers,” Trump said. “They’re studying the ruling. But what the media says the Court ruled isn’t what we’re hearing from our legal experts.”
When pressed about constitutional obligations under the Fifth Amendment, Trump didn’t miss a beat. “I’m not a lawyer. I’m a president. And I was elected to get dangerous people the hell out of this country. The courts are holding us back, and the American people are paying the price.”
Trump noted that giving full court trials to every illegal alien—citizen or not—would clog the judicial system for years. “If we had to give 1 to 3 million trials, we’d never get anything done,” he added.
Meanwhile, Democrats and left-wing activists are demanding Garcia’s return, claiming his “due process rights” were violated. Trump’s reply? “I was elected to protect Americans—not to import threats.”
He also clarified that if Attorney General Bondi advises him it’s lawful, he can request Garcia’s return—but ultimately, it’s up to El Salvador’s president. “He’s a strong leader, very capable. I trust him to do what’s right.”
Trump may also seek clarity from the Court on the meaning of the term “facilitate,” which he says remains vague and legally questionable.
This latest immigration standoff comes as Trump continues to face growing resistance from activist judges, open-border Democrats, and globalist institutions determined to obstruct his America First agenda. But his supporters say that’s exactly why they elected him—because he fights back.
