A disturbing new video has surfaced showing California Democrat and gubernatorial hopeful Katie Porter berating a young staffer on camera — exposing what critics say is her true temperament behind the scenes.
The footage, obtained by Politico, shows Porter — then a member of Congress — speaking with Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm during a 2021 virtual event. When a staffer accidentally walked into the frame, Porter snapped, shouting:
“Get out of my f—ing shot!”
She then continued her tirade, scolding the aide:
“You were in my shot before that. Stay out of my shot.”
According to Politico, the Department of Energy edited out the outburst from its official version of the webinar — an apparent attempt to protect the Democrat’s image. Porter’s campaign has not responded to Fox News Digital’s request for comment.

Pattern of Anger and Arrogance
This viral video isn’t an isolated incident. Just this week, another clip surfaced showing Porter snapping at a CBS reporter after being asked a simple question about former President Donald Trump’s voters.
Reporter Julie Watts asked Porter:
“What do you say to the 40% of California voters you’ll need in order to win, who voted for Trump?”
Porter, visibly irritated, fired back:
“How would I need them in order to win, ma’am?”
When Watts pressed for an answer, Porter accused her of being “unnecessarily argumentative” and abruptly tried to end the interview, pulling off her microphone mid-conversation.
“I don’t care,” Porter snapped when the reporter reminded her that other candidates had answered the same question.
The exchange went viral almost instantly, with viewers calling the Democrat’s behavior “rude,” “entitled,” and “unfit for leadership.”
Critics Call It ‘Classic Democrat Hypocrisy’
Conservatives blasted Porter’s meltdown as another example of the Democratic Party’s double standard — preaching “kindness” and “respect” in public while treating staff and reporters with disdain.
Commentators say the incident reveals the “real face” of California’s liberal establishment: out-of-touch politicians who believe rules don’t apply to them.
“If a Republican had done this, it would be wall-to-wall outrage,” one political analyst noted. “But when a Democrat like Porter behaves this way, the media looks the other way.”
As Porter continues her run for governor, voters are left asking: If she can’t treat her own staff with respect, how can she lead the state of California?
Bottom Line
This latest scandal adds to the growing list of Democrats facing backlash for arrogance, hypocrisy, and hostility toward the press.
With California facing record crime, homelessness, and soaring taxes, many voters — including lifelong Democrats — are beginning to question whether it’s time for real leadership and accountability.
