Trump Blamed For LA Fires

This is absolutely pathetic and disgusting.

As wildfires continue to devastate California, Senator Ed Markey, a Democrat from Massachusetts, took to social media to frame the disaster as proof of what he calls a “climate emergency.” He quickly connected the fires to a broader narrative on climate change, asserting that the crisis is unfolding before our eyes. Markey, who has long been a vocal proponent of aggressive climate action, wasted no time blaming President-elect Donald Trump for allegedly prioritizing the interests of the oil industry.

In a tweet, Markey accused Trump of being “bought for $1 billion by Big Oil” in a move to block the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) and the Green New Deal—two of the Democratic Party’s flagship climate initiatives. He painted a grim picture, claiming that Trump’s presidency would only lead to more disasters, including fires and environmental destruction. “The LA fires are a preview of coming atrocities,” Markey warned.

Interestingly, Markey, who often uses climate change as a central rallying cry, has also voiced concerns about the potential impact of technological advances like artificial intelligence (AI) on the environment. He suggested that the rapid rise of AI could exacerbate issues like carbon emissions, increased electricity demand, and resource shortages. “We are already facing a climate crisis. We can’t let AI make it worse,” he cautioned.

However, President Trump’s track record in his first term tells a different story. Under his leadership, America saw a combination of energy independence, economic growth, and improved environmental standards. His administration helped lower U.S. carbon emissions to their lowest level in 25 years, all while promoting policies that kept energy costs low and supported American jobs.

As Trump prepares for his second term, his approach remains focused on balancing environmental responsibility with economic prosperity. Incoming White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt emphasized that President Trump is committed to maintaining clean air and water while simultaneously strengthening America’s energy sector, ensuring that working families benefit from both a thriving economy and a cleaner environment.
