MTG didn’t hold back.
Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) didn’t hold back as she torched Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) over what she called a “disaster” unfolding on Capitol Hill. At the center of the storm: President Donald Trump’s America First tax and spending bill — now tangled in a bitter fight between House Republicans.
“There is no way Johnson has the votes,” Greene warned bluntly during a fiery appearance on Steve Bannon’s War Room podcast. “It’s a total disaster. A complete mess.”
🔥 House GOP in Chaos as Trump Pushes Bold Agenda
After a narrow Senate vote pushed through a modified version of the bill late Tuesday — with Vice President JD Vance casting the deciding vote — the House returned Wednesday under intense pressure from President Trump to send the final bill to his desk by Friday.
Greene sounded the alarm, warning that the situation inside the GOP-controlled House is unraveling fast.
“We’re under a brutal deadline. There’s no unity. And honestly, this whole thing is a s— show,” Greene said. “That’s just the truth.”
Despite her candor, Greene’s message reflects the growing frustration among Trump-aligned conservatives who believe GOP leadership is failing to deliver on the America First mandate voters demanded.
⚠️ Trump Loyalists Sound Alarm: “We Deserve Better”
The original House version of the bill passed by just one vote — 215 to 214 — in May, after personal pressure from President Trump, Vice President Vance, and top White House allies. But since then, the Senate’s revisions have sparked internal strife and fresh suspicion among conservative lawmakers.
Speaker Johnson tried to spin the situation on Tuesday, telling reporters:
“This isn’t just a House bill or a Senate bill — it’s the American people’s bill,” Johnson claimed. “President Trump has made it clear: this is his bill.”
But not everyone’s buying it. Many conservatives say Johnson’s leadership has been weak, and that the Senate “went too far” with changes that could compromise the bill’s original intent.
🌩️ Delays, Drama, and Division Threaten Trump’s Agenda
Further complicating the showdown, severe weather has delayed or canceled flights for multiple lawmakers trying to return to Washington, increasing uncertainty as the deadline looms.
Trump supporters are demanding action — and accountability.
“This is exactly what Americans are sick of,” Greene said. “Weak leadership. Political games. And betrayal of conservative values.”
As tensions rise, it’s clear the battle over Trump’s landmark spending bill isn’t over. In fact, it may just be beginning.
