White House Shuts Down CNN’s Latest “Fake News” Rumor

The White House is slamming a new CNN report claiming President Donald Trump is preparing to fire top officials and overhaul major federal agencies. According to CNN, unnamed “insiders” suggested that departments like Homeland Security and Energy could soon face staffing changes as Trump moves deeper into his historic second term.

But the Trump administration says none of it is true — and that CNN is once again manufacturing political drama.

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt responded immediately, calling the report “100% Fake News.” She said CNN was repeatedly told the story was false but published it anyway to boost its sinking ratings.

“CNN thrives on drama that simply does not exist,” Leavitt wrote. “The Cabinet is not changing, no matter how much CNN wishes it would.”

The CNN report even admitted that no final decisions had been made and that Trump’s Cabinet is expected to remain intact at least through the beginning of next year. Still, the network framed the story as a looming shake-up — something the White House flatly denies.

For years, President Trump and CNN have been locked in a highly public feud. Trump has criticized the network’s biased coverage, reliance on anonymous sources, and constant attacks on his administration. Many conservatives say CNN has repeatedly targeted Trump and his supporters with misleading narratives designed to sow confusion and distrust.

In a statement to The Hill, CNN stood by its report, insisting the information was “carefully sourced” and claiming the White House had an opportunity to respond. But conservatives see the story as yet another example of corporate media spreading sensational claims without real evidence.

For now, the message from the Trump administration is clear: No Cabinet shake-up. No firings. And no truth to CNN’s rumors.

As President Trump focuses on restoring the country, rebuilding the economy, and strengthening national security, the White House is making it clear that it won’t let the media distract from its agenda.
