Here’s what was learned.
The Pentagon has released its fourth batch of declassified files on unidentified aerial phenomena (UAPs) following President Donald Trump’s order to increase government transparency. Among the newly released records is military footage showing a mysterious six-pointed object observed near East Asia, adding another chapter to the government’s ongoing investigation into unexplained aerial sightings.
While the latest release contains no evidence of extraterrestrial life, it highlights several incidents that military investigators have not been able to fully explain. Defense officials continue to examine whether these sightings could involve foreign technology, atmospheric conditions, drones, balloons, or other conventional causes that may pose national security concerns.
Pentagon Releases New UAP Records
Since May, the Pentagon has gradually made public a growing collection of UAP reports. The files include observations from military personnel, surveillance aircraft, and advanced sensor systems that detected unusual objects during routine operations.
Officials stress that each case is reviewed individually, with investigators attempting to determine whether the sightings can be explained through known technology or natural phenomena. In many instances, the released reports do not include a final conclusion because investigations remain ongoing.
Six-Pointed Object Captured Near East Asia
One of the most talked-about cases in the newest release involves an unusual object recorded over the Yellow Sea, located between China and the Korean Peninsula.
The military video, lasting approximately 18 seconds, initially appears to show a crack or distortion across the camera display. However, accompanying documentation states that the military’s Indo-Pacific Command was actively tracking an unidentified object during the recording.
According to the official summary, military sensors followed “an area of contrast resembling a six-pointed star,” keeping the object centered on the screen as it moved.
The Pentagon has not publicly identified the object or announced a final explanation for what military personnel observed.

The Pentagon released declassified footage showing a mysterious six-pointed, star-shaped object flying over the Yellow Sea. The video was made public on Friday, July 10, 2026, as part of the fourth major release of Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAP) files. The disclosure…

Navy Report Details Jellyfish-Shaped Object
Another report included in Friday’s release describes an encounter involving U.S. Navy personnel over the Atlantic Ocean in 2020.
According to the documents, a military operator observed a dark maroon object estimated to measure between 12 and 15 feet in height. Witnesses reported that the object drifted with the wind, did not maneuver, and showed no signs of controlled flight.
Investigators noted that the object’s behavior was consistent with what could have been a large, irregularly shaped balloon. However, the released file does not provide a definitive conclusion.
Trump Pushes for Greater Government Transparency
President Trump ordered the ongoing release of UAP records earlier this year as part of a broader effort to make more government information available to the public.
Although Trump has repeatedly expressed skepticism about claims involving alien life, his administration has argued that Americans deserve greater transparency regarding unexplained aerial incidents investigated by the federal government.
Administration officials have consistently emphasized that unidentified aerial phenomena should be viewed first as a potential national security issue rather than evidence of extraterrestrial activity.
National Security Remains the Priority
The FBI, Pentagon, and other federal agencies continue reviewing reports of unexplained aerial sightings to determine whether they could involve advanced foreign technology or other security threats.
Officials have repeatedly stated that investigations focus on protecting U.S. military operations and gathering intelligence rather than supporting long-standing theories about alien spacecraft or secret government recovery programs.
Investigators Continue Reviewing Unexplained Cases
Some of the released documents suggest investigators have made progress on several incidents.
One report confirms that repeated sightings of mysterious glowing orbs in the northeastern United States attracted the attention of federal investigators after reports from a local resident were later corroborated during an FBI review conducted in late 2024.
Authorities have not disclosed the exact location of those sightings or released their final conclusions, citing ongoing security concerns.
While many of the incidents may eventually receive conventional explanations, the latest Pentagon release demonstrates that the U.S. military continues to take unidentified aerial phenomena seriously whenever they could affect national security. As additional records are declassified under President Trump’s transparency directive, Americans can expect more information about incidents that have remained out of public view for years.
