Tempers Flair Between Georgia Republicans

We could lose Senate majority because of this mess tomorrow.

In a surprising turn of events, Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger (R) is now demanding an apology from Republican Sen. David Perdue after Perdue called for him to resign following a very messy presidential election outcome in Georgia.

According to the Washington Examiner, Raffensperger stated on Fox, “Sen. Perdue still owes my wife an apology for all the death threats she got after he asked for my resignation. I have not heard a peep from that man since. If he wants to call me … I’ll talk to him off the record. But he hasn’t done that.”

Perdue also accused Raffensperger of leaking the private audio call between himself and President Trump in which Trump asked him to recalculate the 2020 election votes to clear several issues up.

“To have a statewide elected official, regardless of party, tape without disclosing a conversation, a private conversation, with the president of the United States and then leaking it to the press is disgusting,” Perdue angrily stated.

Raffensperger fired backed at Perdue’s accusations by blaming President Trump for tweeting about the phone call in the first place saying, “We had to respond to the president’s Twitter, and we responded to the facts in the call. That’s how it got out there. Now, the world can make up their own decisions, listen to both sides. Both sides of the aisle, right down the middle. They can make their own decisions.”
