Why is the media refusing to address this?

Texas Governor Greg Abbott has accused the Biden administration of recently dismantling the razor wire barriers that had been previously erected by the Lone Star State in Eagle Pass. These allegations come amidst an ongoing dispute between Texas officials and the White House concerning the migrant crisis along the Southern border. Governor Abbott conveyed this announcement during an evening statement on Wednesday.

According to Fox, Abbott elaborated on the situation through a post on social media, explaining, “Texas had initially installed razor wire in Eagle Pass as a measure to prevent illegal border crossings. Regrettably, the Biden Administration has chosen to remove this wire, effectively allowing unauthorized immigrants to enter without hindrance.”

He further declared, “In response, I have swiftly deployed additional units of the Texas National Guard to deter illegal border crossings and reinforce the installation of more razor wire,” emphasizing his commitment to border security.

Governor Abbott also shared a copy of a letter he had previously sent to President Biden in November, where he asserted that the President’s policies had led to “an invasion at our border.” Abbott disclosed ongoing efforts to bolster border security by constructing barriers, adding more razor wire, and deploying marine barriers to discourage migrant inflow.

In a related legal development, the Department of Justice (DOJ) had filed a lawsuit against Texas for implementing a buoy barrier along the Rio Grande, a component of Abbott’s Operation Lone Star aimed at curbing illegal immigration. The DOJ’s lawsuit contended that the barrier obstructed “the navigable capacity of waters of the United States” and raised concerns regarding humanitarian, environmental, and public safety issues.

Initially, a federal judge ordered Texas to relocate the buoys, but the U.S. Court of Appeals subsequently intervened, placing the decision on hold. The lawsuit remains under consideration within the judicial system.
