Here’s what we know…
The White House has said a number of times now that President Biden fully intends to run in 2024. However, now it looks like Biden himself is showing hesitation about running again and the left is completely divided.
According to Newsweek, Biden showed hesitation for another run by saying that a 2024 White House bid “remains to be seen.”
Biden’s comments came during an interview with 60 Minutes that aired on Sunday night. “My intention, as I said to begin with, is that I would run again. But it’s just an intention. But is it a firm decision that I run again? That remains to be seen,” Biden shockingly said.
Why is Biden chickening out now? Have Democrats told him to resign?
As of right now, former President Donald Trump is holding several rallies across America. It’s clear that Trump is looking for a rematch in 2024 however has not officially announced it yet.
Furthermore, who is going to replace President Biden is also a very big question for Democrats if he steps down. Serious candidates who could replace Biden are: Pete Buttigieg, Kamala Harris, Gavin Newsom, and Hillary Clinton.
Others have also suggested Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez however it would be tough to gain support from independent voters because of how far-left AOC is.
