Just when things couldn’t get worse.
President Biden is now raising many eyebrows and is expected to support changes made to the Senate filibuster rules so that the Democrats can pass federal voting rights legislation.
Republicans have long warned Biden and the Democrats not to do this however it looks like they aren’t backing down.
According to Fox, Biden is traveling to Georgia today to deliver his remarks on the matter. Furthermore, in his speech Biden is expected to “forcefully advocate” for defending what the White House calls “the most bedrock American rights: the right to vote and have your vote counted in a free, fair and secure election that is not tainted by partisan manipulation.”
Out of his remarks thats are already written, Biden is expected to say, “The next few days, when these bills come to a vote, will mark a turning point in this nation. Will we choose democracy over autocracy, light over shadow, justice over injustice?”
“I know where I stand. I will not yield. I will not flinch. I will defend your right to vote and our democracy against all enemies foreign and domestic,” Biden is expected to say. “And so the question is where will the institution of United States Senate stand?”
