As we head closer to the 2024 presidential election, Democrats are now saying that none other than former First Lady Michelle Obama is the only person within their party that has the “it” factor it needs to defeat Donald Trump in 2024.
According to Fox, while it does appear the Democrats are rallying behind Biden to be their 2024 candidate, they are also talking heavily behind the scenes about who will truly be the best leader for the party that can defeat Trump.
Former White House and Pentagon official Douglas MacKinnon is claiming that if Democrats don’t go with Joe Biden or Kamala Harris their next best option is going to be Michelle Obama who they are referring to as their “superstar”.
Media giant Politico strongly believes that President Biden is raising concerns with “high-level Democrats”.
Politico explained that prominent members of the Democratic Party are endorsing President Biden’s bid for reelection not necessarily because they believe it would be ideal for an 82-year-old to serve a second term, but rather because they are concerned about the possibility of Kamala Harris being nominated and the potential for Donald Trump to be reelected.
During the 2020 presidential election, Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris made history by winning the highest number of votes ever recorded for a presidential ticket in the United States. However, after just three years in office, President Biden’s approval rating has dropped to the 40s, and his frequent verbal gaffes have proven to be a source of frustration for the White House press team.
This is a big concern for Republican voters. The last thing anyone wants is the Obama family back in the White House in 2024 and potentially even 2028 if Michelle Obama does actually impress the Democratic voter base.
