Country Star Attacks Trump’s ICE

A new country music controversy is shaking Nashville — and the White House isn’t holding back.

Country singer and Navy veteran Zach Bryan has sparked outrage after releasing a song that takes aim at immigration enforcement under President Donald Trump’s leadership. The track, titled “Bad News,” criticizes ICE raids and paints border agents as the villains.

But the White House fired back immediately — and they didn’t mince words.

“Zach Bryan seems eager to throw open the doors for criminal illegal aliens while criticizing the brave men and women of ICE,” said White House spokesperson Abigail Jackson in a pointed statement Tuesday. “But judging by the mood of the country, something tells me most Americans stand firmly with President Trump’s Great American Revival—not with Hollywood politics. Godspeed, Zach.”

Bryan, who gained fame with his hit “Something in the Orange,” posted a teaser for “Bad News” on Instagram, showing lyrics that many fans see as an attack on law enforcement:

“ICE is gonna come, bust down your door / Try to build a house no one builds no more / But I got a telephone / Kids are all scared and all alone.”

The singer also laments what he calls “the fading of the red, white and blue,” which critics say is ironic — given his new song’s attack on those defending America’s borders.

Conservatives were quick to respond.

Country legend John Rich blasted Bryan online, writing:

“Guess we should get ready for the Zach Bryan–Dixie Chicks reunion tour — Bud Light will probably be the headlining sponsor.”

Political commentator Benny Johnson added:

“Country singer Zach Bryan targets ICE in his new track ‘Bad News,’ suggesting America is in decline. It’s yet another sign that the woke wave is creeping deeper into country music.”

Even officials inside the Department of Homeland Security chimed in. Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin told Newsweek:

“Maybe you should stick to Pink Skies, Zach.”

🇺🇸 Patriotic Americans Stand With Trump and ICE

Bryan’s lyrics may earn applause from liberal media outlets, but for millions of hardworking Americans, it’s a slap in the face to those who risk their lives keeping dangerous criminals out of the country.

President Donald Trump has made border security, law and order, and protecting American families a cornerstone of his leadership — and many see Bryan’s comments as part of a broader celebrity trend of virtue signaling over patriotism.

Bryan has not announced a full release date for “Bad News”, but the backlash already shows that America’s culture war is alive and well — and the people who love their country still aren’t afraid to speak up.
