Democrats will stoop to just about any low won’t they?
Rep. Jasmine Crockett made bold and controversial remarks about former President Donald Trump after his recent joint address to Congress. In a heated interview with attorney Joe Gallina, the Texas Democrat didn’t mince words when discussing what she would say to Trump if given the chance.
Crockett expressed frustration with Trump’s actions, particularly regarding his relationship with Russian President Vladimir Putin. “I would tell him to grow a spine and stop being Putin’s ho,” Crockett said, emphasizing that Trump’s behavior was unprecedented for a U.S. president. She criticized Trump for what she sees as his lack of leadership on the world stage, suggesting that he was too cozy with Russia at the expense of American interests.
The conversation turned to the meeting between Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, which Crockett described as a diplomatic failure. She argued that Trump had “abandoned our allies” and mismanaged foreign relations. Crockett pointed out that diplomacy isn’t about focusing solely on domestic issues but about maintaining strong international ties. Her remarks came as Trump’s tone toward Ukraine had become more critical, with the White House recently halting military aid to the country.
Crockett also weighed in on Trump’s trade policies, particularly his tariffs on Canada and Mexico. She warned that these tariffs would drive up costs for American families, from the price of housing to groceries. With significant imports of lumber and steel from Canada and produce from Mexico, Crockett predicted that these trade actions would only harm U.S. consumers. She added that while she could understand the motivations of Canada and Mexico in responding to Trump’s tariffs, it was up to the president to find common ground with America’s neighbors to avoid further economic strain.
The lawmaker did not hold back in her criticism of Trump, urging him to focus on his duties as president rather than seeking attention. “It’s time for him to step up and start acting like a leader instead of playing for TV ratings,” she said. Crockett’s blunt and unfiltered comments have earned her a reputation as one of the more outspoken members of Congress.
