Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) says she’s ready to take on President Trump—this time, in a battle of brains.
The outspoken Democrat told Jimmy Kimmel Live! that she’ll accept Trump’s challenge to take a cognitive test, claiming he has “time to troll” her instead of ending the government shutdown.
“Listen, if he’s down, I’m down,” Crockett said Wednesday night. “He can’t seem to find himself in the Oval Office to end the shutdown, but he does have time to troll me.”
President Trump, who recently underwent a full physical exam—including an MRI and a cognitive test—revealed earlier this month that his doctors called his results “some of the best for the age.”
“The first few questions are simple—tiger, elephant, giraffe,” Trump told reporters. “But when you get to 10, 20, 25—they couldn’t come close. I passed them all.”
Trump didn’t hold back when speaking about his critics in Congress. “They’ve got Jasmine Crockett—a low IQ person. They’ve got AOC—another low IQ person,” he said, challenging both to take the same test he took at Walter Reed.
Crockett fired back, suggesting Trump tends to insult “women of color” when he calls people “low IQ.” But the exchange quickly turned into late-night comedy fodder.
Kimmel joked that the test might include “Trump-style questions” like, ‘How do you get ketchup out of a bottle?’ or ‘What’s the difference between a windmill and a ceiling fan?’
When asked if she officially accepts the challenge, Crockett said, “I absolutely accept it.”
Kimmel then asked if she’d be open to a tie-breaker: a sit-up contest. “Absolutely,” Crockett replied with a grin. “I don’t know that he can sit up—so yes.”
Still, many conservatives see Trump’s challenge as another example of his sharp wit and confidence—something his critics can’t seem to match.
