Trump is very upset.
Former President Trump criticized Fox News and its main morning news show on Thursday for their coverage of him.
According to The Hill, in a statement posted on his Truth Social website, Trump questioned why Fox and Friends was not showing all the polls where he was leading over Biden by a significant margin. He expressed frustration, stating, “They refuse to display these polls.”
Additionally, Trump took exception to the way the network portrayed his appearance. He remarked, “They purposely show the absolutely worst pictures of me, especially the big ‘orange’ one with my chin pulled way back. They think they are getting away with something, they’re not,” He drew parallels to his 2016 campaign experience, adding, “Just like 2016 all over again…And then they want me to debate!”
For months, Trump has been criticizing Fox News for what he perceives as unfavorable coverage, asserting that the network favors his political adversaries.
As the host of the upcoming GOP debate, Fox is preparing for the event scheduled for next week. However, Trump has not confirmed his participation, pointing to his strong lead in GOP primary polls and his strained relationship with the network, which he describes as “hostile.”
Prominent hosts and executives from Fox News have made both public and private attempts to encourage Trump’s involvement in the crucial televised event that carries significant implications for the 2024 GOP primary.
