GOP Drops Trump

This is strange.

In a strange turn of events, more and more Republicans are coming out of the woodwork and are claiming that former President Donald Trump should not run again in 2024 or that Trump will lose if the GOP nominates him.

According to The Hill, several prominent Republicans such as Former House Speaker Paul Ryan, former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, former Vice President Mike Pence and others have all claimed that someone else should run in 2024.

Other Republicans such as former House Speaker Newt Gingrich admit that while Trump is controversial he is still the best man for the job.

Gingrich has explained, “Some people like Trump and some people don’t like Trump. He’s the most dominant single figure in the party. That’s a fact.”

Still however Republicans like Mike Pence don’t want to see Trump once again leading the party. When Pence was asked about whether or not he would vote for Trump he explained, “Well, there might be somebody else I’d prefer more.”

Others like Paul Ryan have been more aggressive with their attacks on Trump. Ryan held almost nothing back when he said Trump was unelectable.

Ryan stated, “I think Trump’s unelectability will be palpable by then. We all know he will lose. Or let me put it this way: We all know he’s much more likely to lose the White House than anybody else running for president on our side of the aisle. So why would we want to go with that?”

Other Republicans like traitor Liz Cheney are actually working hard to destroy Trump by being on the January 6th Committee and are trying to figure out how to place criminal charges on him.

Nonetheless, even with all of these attacks against former President Donald Trump the Republican voters still overwhelmingly support him. The GOP is changing and Trump is single handedly responsible for it.
