They are aggressively going after everyone in the Trump Administration!
The Jan. 6 House Committee, which includes anti-Trump Republicans such as Liz Cheney and Adam Kinzinger, have officially voted to hold former Trump Chief Strategist Steve Bannon in criminal contempt after he refused to attend their planned show trial.
Bannon refused to testify after former President Donald Trump told him and others in his staff to not sit before the committee.
According to CBS News, just before the vote was taken, Chairman Bennie Thompson said, “We believe Mr. Bannon has information relevant to our probe, and we’ll use the tools at our disposal to get that information. I expect that the House will quickly adopt this referral to the Justice Department and that the U.S. Attorney will do his duty and prosecute Mr. Bannon for criminal contempt of Congress.”
The January 6 Congressional Committee unanimously voted 9-0 to refer Bannon to the DOJ and could now face criminal contempt charges. Now the House will take a full vote on the matter.
