Has Liz Cheney gone mad?

Former Representative Liz Cheney, a Republican from Wyoming, voiced apparent criticism towards Florida Governor Ron DeSantis on Thursday. She took issue with DeSantis’s statement regarding his potential consideration of pardoning individuals involved in the January 6th events if he were to be elected president. Cheney argued that anyone with such intentions is “not qualified” for the position of the White House.

We have always known that “Republican” Liz Cheney has always hate former President Donald Trump, but why is she now attacking other 2024 Republican candidates? Doesn’t this prove that her problem isn’t with Donald Trump at all, her problem is with the entire GOP?

In transcript provided by The Hill, Cheney wrote, “Any candidate who says they will pardon Jan. 6 defendants is not qualified to be President.”

Following the launch of his 2024 campaign on Wednesday, Governor Ron DeSantis stated on Thursday that if elected, he would contemplate issuing pardons to individuals associated with the January 6, 2021, riot at the U.S. Capitol, including Trump, as early as “day one” of his presidency.

At present, former President Trump is under a federal investigation concerning the transfer of power during the 2020 election.

During her tenure on the House select committee investigating the events of January 6th, the former congresswoman from Wyoming played a role in the committee’s criminal referral of former President Trump to the Justice Department (DOJ). The referral encompassed charges of inciting an insurrection, conspiracy to defraud the United States, conspiracy to make false statements, and obstruction of an official proceeding.

The Department of Justice (DOJ) has reported that it has made over 1,000 arrests in relation to the events of January 6th. Additionally, nearly 500 individuals have been sentenced for engaging in criminal activities on that particular day.
