Trump Jr. Insults Father?

What was he thinking?

In an episode of his podcast, ‘Triggered with Donald Trump Jr.,’ Donald Trump Jr. made comments that seemed to be directed at Ron DeSantis, while attempting to criticize him. Trump Jr. referred to his father as having the “charisma of a mortician and the energy that makes Jeb Bush look like an Olympian.”

The podcast was streamed on Rumble, a video streaming site. Earlier, DeSantis had announced his candidacy for the Republican presidential nomination, but his announcement was marred by technical difficulties during a Twitter Spaces conversation with Elon Musk, leading to widespread ridicule.

Recent polling suggests that DeSantis poses a significant challenge to Trump in the race for the GOP nomination, although his support has decreased in recent months. Trump Jr. started the podcast with a critique of DeSantis, nicknaming him “Ron DeStablishment” and commenting on his voice.

However, Trump Jr. also made remarks that seemed to insult his own father, using language that appeared to be directed at DeSantis.

He stated that Trump has the “charisma of a mortician and the energy that makes Jeb Bush look like an Olympian,” along with criticizing his policies as those of a “D.C. swamp rat.” A 17-second clip of this moment was shared on Twitter by Ron Filipkowski, an independent journalist known for monitoring “right-wing extremism,” who suggested that Trump Jr. may have misread his script.

Immediately after the comment, Trump Jr. returned to attacking DeSantis directly.

Looks like it was just an honest mistake and could have happened to anyone.
