This is horrible news.

It has just been revealed that Democrat Stacey Abrams has just launched her bid for Governor in the state of Georgia which will be a rematch of her previous run against Georgia’s current Republican Governor Brian Kemp.

“I’m running for Governor because opportunity in our state shouldn’t be determined by zip code, background or access to power,” Abrams wrote on Twitter.

According to Fox, In 2018, Abrams lost to Gov. Kemp by by less than 55,000 votes out of a total of 4 million votes in the state.

Since losing the gubernatorial race in 2018, Stacey Abrams worked tirelessly and was one of the key factors that helped flip Georgia blue for President Biden in 2020.

Georgia was once a completely red state with little chance of Democrats gaining any traction in the southern state. However in recent times, the state of Georgia has become a key electoral battleground for many politicians.

Since losing in 2018, Abrams has only grown in popularity among Democrats and with the recent rift that formed between former President Donald Trump and Governor Brian Kemp after the 2020 presidential election, Kemp could be in trouble.
