As President Donald Trump continues to deliver on his America First agenda, many conservatives are already looking to the future—and a clear favorite is emerging to carry the MAGA torch: Vice President JD Vance.
During this weekend’s Turning Point USA Student Action Summit in Tampa, TPUSA founder Charlie Kirk made headlines by pointing to Vance as the rising star most likely to lead the conservative movement into 2028. Kirk believes that when President Trump completes his second term, Vance will be the top contender to defend traditional American values and take on the radical left.
“JD Vance is the future of our movement,” Kirk told Fox News Digital. “He’s young, sharp, grounded in faith and family—and he understands the struggles facing everyday Americans.”
Kirk praised the 40-year-old vice president for his ability to connect with younger voters, many of whom are fed up with Joe Biden’s failed leadership, skyrocketing inflation, and the socialist agenda pushed by Democrats in Washington.
“He’s one of the youngest VPs in history, and he communicates with the next generation on their terms,” Kirk said. “Whether it’s through podcasts, social media, or town halls—he’s real. He’s relatable. And he’s solid on conservative values.”
But Vance’s appeal doesn’t stop with the youth. For older Americans who built this nation, he represents a new leader who will fight for the American Dream—a dream nearly destroyed under the Biden regime.
Kirk didn’t hold back when discussing the stakes for 2028. He warned that if the Republican Party fails to deliver on key promises—like border security, restoring law and order, and reducing government spending—we could lose the youth vote that helped re-elect Trump in 2024.
“Let’s be honest,” Kirk said. “Young voters helped put President Trump back in the White House. If we don’t solve the cost-of-living crisis and make it easier to buy a home, raise a family, and pursue the American Dream—we risk losing the future.”
He stressed that immigration enforcement, mass deportations, and cutting federal waste must be non-negotiable priorities for the next GOP nominee. “We need real results, not empty promises,” he added.
While Kirk openly said he would “love” to see JD Vance lead the charge in 2028, he emphasized that what matters most is staying true to the principles that made America great.
“I always tell people—if we don’t deliver on the issues that matter to hardworking Americans, it won’t matter who’s on the ticket. We need a fighter. Someone who won’t back down.”
